The Monument project
In February 2014 Harambee Arts with the California artist, Shrine, and the assistance of the children from the City Primary School's "Special Unit" built a monument in Nairobi (on the grounds of the National Museum), out of found objects, in honor of those who have been discarded. It is intended as a place where people can come and be educated about the beauty of differently abled children, including those on the autism spectrum.

Harambee Arts Training Session
CONNECT Institute of Family Therapy
Harare, Zimbabwe
"The CONNECT training was attended by first year students, practicing therapists and a whole range in between. Not so easy to match everyone’s needs. But in between running around looking for food we did a lot of good work. " ~ Gloria Simoneaux |
