Nairobi: Monument in honor of children on the autism spectrum
In February 2014 Harambee Arts with the California artist, Shrine, and the assistance of the children from the City Primary School's "Special Unit" built a monument in Nairobi (on the grounds of the National Museum) out of found objects in honor of those who have been discarded. It is intended as a place where people can come and be educated about the beauty of differently abled children, including those on the autism spectrum.
